My name is Melissa. I am a first grade teacher. I have been teaching for five years in dual language immersion district.About 80% of our students are native Spanish speakers, and receive literacy instruction in Spanish. All of my students work together in English and Spanish with the goal of being bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural. I created this blog to help all bilingual teachers. As a bilingual teacher we don't have many resources available. Most of it we have to translate or is teacher made. I found that blogging is an excellent resources for sharing ideas.
I used this so students could label parts of a plant in Spanish. We used contruction paper, coffee filter and crayons. It was a simple task. Kids loved it. I wasn't able to share with you guys but am back. I share any creative ideas I come across.
